  • If you don't have a Webex account, open the Meetings app and tap Join Meeting. Enter the meeting number or host's Personal Room URL, enter your name and email, and then tap Join.
  • From your iOS search, search for your own or recently joined Personal Rooms. Tap the meeting from the search results to join.
  • From your iOS calendar, tap Join on the meeting entry.

If you don't have the app installed, you can still join the audio portion of the meeting.

  • Use Siri voice commands to join a meeting.
  • From the meeting invitation email, tap the linked video address to join the meeting.

  • If you're using Ford Sync 3 AppLink with Meetings, you can now see the active speaker’s name (not the actual active speaker) in the car dashboard while attending a meeting. Use your steering wheel or dashboard controls to turn on AppLink, and then use voice commands.

If your site administrator configured your site to send notifications, the app alerts you before or when the host starts the meeting.

When hosts schedule meetings, they can allow attendees to join before them. The host's name isn't shown in the meeting information until the host joins.

When you join a meeting in someone else's Personal Room, you wait in a lobby until the host enters or admits you. When the host enters the room or admits you, you can then join the meeting. You can tap Notify Host to alert the host that you're waiting in the lobby.

Tap the Audio Connections Options menu to choose an audio option.

  • Use Internet for Audio—you use your 3G or 4G data plan unless you're on a Wi-Fi connection. When you join an audio conference that's using Webex Audio or VoIP only, you use wide-band audio.

If a participant who doesn't have wide-band audio joins a meeting that's using wide-band audio, audio for everyone is downgraded. Meetings gives no warning message before the downgrade.

  • Call Me—enter your phone number.

If you enabled Auto Call Me in your app's settings, you receive calls automatically.

  • Call In—enter the call-in number that appears. Tap Global Call-In Numbers to view a list of call-in numbers from other regions.

Make a note of the access code or meeting number and the attendee ID. You'll need to enter these numbers to join the meeting.

Select one of the available numbers to join the meeting and when prompted, enter the access code or meeting number and the attendee ID. If you don't have your attendee ID, press # to wait in the lobby until someone in the meeting lets you in.

Your attendee ID connects your name in the meeting to your audio. If you don’t enter your attendee ID, your audio connection appears as a call-in user in the Participants list, separate from your name, and you can’t control audio from the application.

  • Disconnect Audio—listen to the call.

In Settings > Audio & Video, you can turn on Skip Audio and Video Preview to save default join options.

You can also set your preferences so that your device automatically mutes for meetings that you join. In your app's settings, turn on Mute on Entry.

If you're using iOS 11 or later, you can switch between your connected audio during a meeting. For example, you can use a Bluetooth headset, Bluetooth speaker, or your device's speaker.

You can use cars that support Apple CarPlay to access Webex Meetings from your car dashboard. Use any of our existing supported Siri commands to join meetings, such as “Join next meeting using Webex” or “Call John Smith using Webex.”

CarPlay is fully supported for SmartDeviceLink (SDL)-supported and non-SDL-supported cars. You can join meetings from your car dashboard using Siri voice commands, and then see a full in-meeting Webex user interface on your dashboard. Mute, unmute, and leave meeting capabilities are available with CarPlay.

The Add Call button was disabled as of the WBS39.6 update. Although the button is disabled, Apple CarPlay will remain available.

When using iOS 13, Siri voice commands on the car dashboard are only accessible while your device is unlocked. However, your device must be locked in order to see Webex Meetings on the car dashboard.
