Edit Phone Settings at the Organization Level

Changing settings at the organization level applies to all locations.

From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com, go to Services > Calling > Service Settings.

In the Phone section, click Configure Default Phone Settings.

In Display Settings, choose the Background Image from the following options in the drop-down:


 

These options only work on phones that have an 800 * 480 screen size.

  • None

  • Dark Blue

  • Cisco Dark Blue

  • Webex Dark Blue

For the Display Name that appears on the phone display, choose from the following options in the drop-down:

  • User Phone Number/Location Number—This displays the user's phone number, or if a user doesn't have a phone number, the location number is displayed.

  • User Name (First Name/Last Name)

  • User Name (Last Name/First Name)

For the Line Key Label drop-down, which defines the format of what's shown next to line keys, choose from the following options:

  • User Extension/Phone Number—This displays the user's extension, or if a user doesn't have an extension, the phone number is displayed.

  • User Name (First Name/Last Name)

  • User Name (Last Name/First Name)

For the Line Key LED Pattern drop-down, which define lighting schemes for the line keys on MPP phones, choose from the following options:

  • Default

  • Preset 1


 

On MPP firmware 11.3.2 or earlier, once the LED Pattern has been changed, it cannot be reverted. This will be resolved in MPP firmware 11.3.3 (Coming February 2021).

In Dialing Options, choose the amount of seconds in the Interdigit Short Timer drop-down that the phone waits for the user to enter the next digit.


 

A smaller time value requires digits to be dialed quickly.

For the Interdigit Long Timer, choose the amount of seconds in the drop-down that the phone will wait when no digit patterns match before the phone dials the number.


 

A smaller time value causes unmatched dialed digits to be dialed quickly.

Click Review Settings.

When you're happy with your settings, click Start Processing.

If you want to set different phone settings per location, use this procedure.

From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com, go to Services > Calling > Locations.

Select a location that you want to change phone settings for, and then in the side panel, click Phone Settings.

Select the Define custom phone settings button.
