You can attach a file to provide customers with more information while you respond in Webex Contact Center Desktop.

Before you begin

Your administrator must have configured the following:

Attach a file to a text message

1

Drag and drop the attachments into the compose box or click the Attachment icon and browse to the file to upload.

Currently, you can't preview attachments while composing a text message. You can only preview them after the message is sent or received.

2

If needed, click X to remove an attachment.

Attach a file to an email

Attachments to emails can appear inline with the email body or be attached to an email message.

1

Click the Attachment icon and browse to the file to upload.

Currently, you can't preview attachments while composing an email. You can only preview them after the email is sent or received.

2

If needed, click X to remove an attachment.

When you upload attachments from digital channels:

  • The system automatically open files that are in supported formats. While there is no restriction on opening unsupported file types, the system will prevent unsupported files from being uploaded to ensure security and compliance.
  • The system drops and grays out attachments that don’t fulfill the Payment Card Industry (PCI) rule. Click the information icon to see the error message with reason. To know more about PCI compliance, see PCI compliance section in the Webex Contact Center Setup and Administration Guide.
