Webex App | Google Tasks bot
Stay on top of tasks and to-do lists more easily with the Google Tasks bot for Webex App. You can easily create, search, and mark tasks complete from any group or 1:1 space with the bot.

Add the Google Tasks bot
End of life notice
IMPORTANT: This bot will reach End of Life on December 17th, 2025 after which it will cease to function. For information on creating your own bot with similar functionality, see the following Developer Guide.
You can add the Google Tasks bot to any Webex App space.

Go to Spaces
and choose a space to add the Google Tasks bot.
You can also create a new space with just the Google Tasks bot.

Choose People, click Add People and enter the Google Tasks bot name:
GoogleTasks.bot@webex.bot

Enter
help
and send the message. -
Click Link Account and add your Google account information.
When your Google account is linked and you're successfully authorized, you can ask the bot for help in the space you're in with the bot. If it's a group space, enter
@GoogleTasks help
or if it's just you and the bot in a space, enterhelp
and then send the message.
Manage Google Tasks bot notifications
You can create new notifications or manage existing notifications for actions in Google Tasks and you'll get notified in Webex App.

Click Manage Notifications and select a notification type or edit an existing notification. You can also enter ![]() |

Enter a name for your notification, confirm your authorization, and then click Save. ![]() |
Create a task or list
You can create a new task or list with the Google Tasks bot.

Click Add Task. You can also enter |

You can click Add Details to expand the form and add further details or a due date for your task. |

Click Add Task to create the task under the list you’ve specified. |
View or update tasks
You can view or update existing tasks in the Webex App space.

Select a task and choose from Add Task, View / Update Task, Mark Complete, or Add Subtask. |
