Use abbreviated dials on 9800 and 8875 phones (Multiplatform)
This Help article is for Cisco Desk Phone 9800 Series and Cisco Video Phone 8875 registered to BroadWorks or Webex Calling. Use abbreviated dials on your phone to quickly and easily reach frequently dialed numbers by a single numeric key.
Configure abbreviated dials on the phone
You can add an abbreviated dial by manually entering the name and number or by selecting a contact from Contacts. Numeric keys 2 through 9 can be assigned to abbreviated dials.

Abbreviated dials have been added to your phone.

Select a numeric key (2-9) to assign an abbreviated dial. |

You can either input the Name and Number directly or use the Add from contacts option. Depending on your phone model, perform the corresponding steps:

(Optional) To edit or remove an existing abbreviated dial, select the abbreviated dial entry you want to update, then edit or remove the name and number directly, and save the changes. |

Make a call using abbreviated dials
To make a call using abbreviated dials, do the followings:
