Turn on AI Assistant in your meetings to make sure everyone can easily follow the conversation, ask questions, and stay updated-without interrupting the flow. With the help of AI Assistant, your team can save time, fully participate, and stay engaged throughout the meeting.

Start AI when recording a meeting option

Your organization administrator determines which options are available based on the settings they apply. If you don't see a specific option, reach out to your organization administrator to have it enabled.

In a meeting

Join your meeting, in the meeting controls click AI Assistant Cisco AI Assistant icon and select from:

  • Set AI Assistant to automatically start, when you click Record in your meeting.

    In the AI Assistant panel, click Settings Settings button represented by a cog icon. Then, in the Meeting options window, check Start recordings will also turn on AI Assistant, and click Apply.

    This applies both when the recording is started, or when the meeting organizer enables Automatically turn on AI Assistant when the meeting starts, when scheduling the meeting.

    If AI Assistant doesn't start automatically at the start of the meeting, the meeting host gets a pop-up reminder, prompting them to start AI Assistant manually.

  • Choose who can start and stop the summary. In the AI Assistant panel, click Settings Settings button represented by a cog icon. Then, in the Meeting options window, go to Start and stop summary and choose from:

    • Only the host and cohosts can start and stop the summary—default selected option.

    • Anyone can start and stop the summary—allow anyone to start or stop the AI summary.

    When you've made your selection, click Apply.

Schedule a meeting

When you schedule a meeting from User Hub, you can choose to have AI Assistant start automatically, at the beginning of your meetings.

Sign in to your User Hub account.

Go to Settings > Meetings > Scheduling, and check that Automatically turn on AI Assistant when the meeting starts is enabled.

In meeting options

Join your meeting, and in the meeting controls tap AI Assistant Cisco AI Assistant icon.

  • In the AI Assistant panel, tap Settings Settings button represented by a cog icon. Then, in the Meeting options window, tap AI Assistant and go to Start and stop summary. Select from:

    • Only the host and cohosts can start and stop the summary—default selected option.

    • Anyone can start and stop the summary—allow anyone to start or stop the AI summary.

    When you've made your selection, tap Apply.
