When you lock a meeting, participants must wait in the lobby to join. This provides you with an opportunity to see who's waiting and let individual people in, or let everyone in at once.

For more information about breakout sessions, see Breakout sessions in meetings and webinars.

Before you begin

This feature is available on our Webex Suite meeting platform. Find out if your meetings use the Webex Suite meeting platform.

This feature is available to meeting hosts and cohosts.

1

To see who's waiting to join, click Open participants panel .

2

Review the list of participants waiting in the lobby and choose who to admit, based on the participant's group and domain name:

Internal—authenticated participant within the same Webex organization as the meeting host

External—authenticated participant outside the meeting host's Webex organization

Unverified—unauthenticated participant

The domain name displays for authenticated participants and shows as either Internal or External.

3

If you preassigned the participants to a breakout session, admit them to that session:

  • If only one participant is waiting, click Let in.
  • To admit individual participants, select the check box next to their name and click Let in.
  • To admit everyone who's waiting, check Select all and click Let in.
4

If the participants aren't preassigned to a breakout session, choose a session to admit them to or let them into the main meeting:

  • If only one participant is waiting to join, choose a breakout session from the drop-down list, then click Let in.
  • To admit individual participants, select the check box next to their name, choose the breakout session, and click Let in.
  • To admit everyone who's waiting, check Select all, choose the breakout session, and click Let in.
