Webex App VDI plugin extends the Cisco collaboration experience to virtual deployments so that users can use the full messaging, meeting, and calling functionality that the Webex App provides. Webex-app op VDI
Zonder optimalisatie werkt berichten via Webex-apps als een virtuele bureaubladinfrastructuuromgeving (VDI). De volledige Webex-app biedt echter ook gesprekken en vergaderingen, waarvoor video- en audiomediaverwerking is vereist.
Vanwege een beperking die bekend staat als het haarpin effect, worden bellen, vergadering en bijhorend videofunctie niet ondersteund zonder optimalisatie. De extra bandbreedte die nodig is voor gesprekken en video maakt een automatisch verbinding met het datacenter omdat de media van de ene gebruiker naar het datacenter terug stroomt naar een andere gebruiker. Om latentie te verminderen en de mediakwaliteit te verbeteren, optimaliseert de VDI-invoegservice de mediaworkflows door media rechtstreeks te streamen tussen gebruikers op thin client-eindpunten en de hardware van de thin clientmachines te gebruiken voor het verwerken van mediaverwerking. eLux RP 6 2104 LSTR and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS has reached its end-of-life. Vendors are no longer supporting these platforms. Starting with Webex App VDI and MC VDI version 43.10, users who have deployed Webex VDI plugins on these platforms won’t receive support and updates.
For eLux RP 6 2104 LSTR users, we recommend upgrading to eLux RP 6 2302 LSTR.
For Ubuntu 16.04 users, we recommend upgrading to Ubuntu 18.04 or higher.

The system requirements for Windows and Linux platforms are same as the Webex standalone app hosted on Windows.The system requirements for Mac platforms are same as the Webex standalone app hosted on MacOS.

While backwards compatibility is supported, we recommend that you and your users download the latest HVD installer and VDI thin client plugins from the Downloads tab.

De Webex-app voor VDI-omgevingen ondersteunt de meeste functies van de Webex-app voor Windows, tenzij anders vermeld.
De Webex-app voor VDI-omgevingen volgt een tweemaandige release-planning, terwijl de zelfstandige Webex-app voor Windows maandelijks wordt vrijgegeven. Vanwege dit verschil in de releaseplanning omvat de VDI-versie van de app geen functies die in de maand voor de standalone-versie worden uitgebracht. Or maybe you just want to make it look like you're on a beach soaking up the sun. You can replace your surroundings with one of the preset backgrounds or an image of your own.

Call recording—Your administrator determines how much control you have over recording your calls.
