Webcasts are only included with event subscriptions with 3000 or more users. Webcasts are not available for Webex for Government.

Sign in to your Webex site and select Schedule an event from the Schedule a meeting drop-down list.

Enter the webcast topic, password, date and time.

Click Webcast.

To set up advanced options, click Show advanced options.

  1. Chat, Questions & Answers, and Polls are enabled by default for panelists and attendees. To disable any of these features, go to Scheduling options > Event options > Edit event options.

  2. Click the Panelists or Attendees tab, then uncheck the check boxes next to the options you want to disable.

Click Start next to your webcast.

Connect your audio and video, then click Start Event.


 

When you start a webcast, you're not yet broadcasting. Attendees cannot see or hear anything until you're streaming live.

When you're ready to begin broadcasting, click Start Webcast, choose the streaming layout, then click Go Live.

You can interact with attendees in several ways when hosting a webcast. For more information, see Manage question and answer sessions in a webcast and Manage polls in a webcast. You can also disable these options if you don't want attendees to see them.

To stop streaming, click Stop Webcast, then click Stop to confirm.

This does not end the webcast. To end the webcast, click End Event, then click End live streaming when I leave.

Open the Webex Meetings app on your mobile device.

Go to your meeting list and tap Start next to your webcast.

When you're ready to begin broadcasting, tap More options more options icon, then tap Start webcast.

Choose the streaming layout, then tap Go live.

To stop streaming, tap Stop Streaming, then tap Stop to confirm.

This does not end the webcast. To end the webcast, tap End Event for All.
