    How do I disable the chat panel in Webex Meetings?

    How do I stop attendees from chatting in my meeting?

    Can I disable the chat function in my meeting?

    How do I manage who participants can chat with?

    How do I disable private chat in my meeting?

     

    Solution:
    The chat panel can be disabled while scheduling from the website and within an active meeting.

    To disable the chat panel while scheduling from the website:

    1. On the scheduling page click on Show advanced options.
    2. Select Scheduling options drop-down option.
    3. Navigate to Meeting options and select Edit meeting options.
    4. From the pop-up uncheck the Chat box.
    5. Select OK.
    To disable the chat panel within an active meeting:
    1. Select Meeting drop-down from the menu bar on the top.
    2. Select Options.
    3. In the Meeting Options window, uncheck the Chat box.
    4. Select OK.
    To manage who participants can chat with in a meeting:
    1. Select Participant drop-down from the menu bar on the top.
    2. Select Assign Privileges.
    3. Choose who participants can chat with.
    4. Select OK.
