'Connect to a Device' Option is Not Working in the Webex App After macOS Sonoma Upgrade

If you've upgraded to macOS Sonoma and are experiencing issues with automatically pairing to video devices, read this article for a workaround.

ISSUE
The Webex App is not automatically connecting to a nearby video device and you may see a yellow caution icon next to the "Connect to a device" button on the main app display. This occurs after upgrading to macOS Sonoma.

RESOLUTION
As a workaround, you can enable Standard mic mode for Webex. Follow the steps below:

  1. In the Webex App, click Connect to a device.
  2. Click the microphone icon in the menu bar.
  3. Click Standard.

  4. If Standard is already selected, click Voice Isolation and then click Standard again to toggle.
