When Cisco Proximity is turned on, the video conferencing device sends out ultrasound messages for pairing. Nearby devices with the Cisco Proximity client pick up these messages and can easily connect with the video conferencing device without any manual setup.

Cisco recommends deploying the Webex app for wireless sharing, device control and easy meeting join. Howevern, if that's not possible, Cisco Proximity provides a lightweight and device-centric alternative without infrastructure dependencies.

Administrators should read about enabling Cisco Proximity and its services here .
