As a Webex administrator, you must do the following:

1. Enable Webex Assistant for Meetings in Site Administration.

2. Provision Webex Assistant for Meetings for an organization, an entire Webex site, or for specific users through license assignment.

Before you begin

Webex Assistant is available in Webex Meetings. Beginning with the 41.5 update, it's also available in Webex Events (new) webinar mode for plans that support up to 10,000 users and as an add-on for plans that support up to 1000 users. This feature requires that your Webex site and users must be linked to Cisco Webex Control Hub or managed in Control Hub, and on Cisco Webex video platform version 2.0, with joining meetings from video systems enabled.

Sign in to Webex Site Administration and go to Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options.

Scroll to the Webex Assistant Configuration section and configure it as follows:

  1. Check Enable Webex Assistant to make Webex Assistant available in meetings and webinars on your site.

  2. Check Automatically turn on the Webex Assistant by default whenever users start meetings to enable Webex Assistant automatically when a user starts a meeting or webinar.

  3. (Optional) Check Enable real-time translation to allow users to show real-time meeting translations in their own language during their meeting or webinar.

Real-time translation is a paid add-on for Webex Assistant for Webex Meetings. This option is only visible for those who've paid for the add-on. To add support to Webex Assistant, contact your Webex account team.
