Connect to Webex Audio

Webex Meetings provides the flexibility to connect audio in multiple ways. To find out more, see Tips and Tricks for Using Audio with Cisco Webex Meetings Suite.

After you join the meeting, select one of the following:

  • Call Me–Enter a phone number, select Call Me.

     

    If you're using the desktop or web app, you can check the Connect to audio without pressing 1 on my phone box to connect directly to the meeting.

  • I Will Call In–Dial the phone number shown on your screen. When prompted, use your phone keypad to enter the access code, and the Attendee ID shown on your screen.
  • Call Using Computer–Choose this option to connect to audio using VoIP.

    With WBS33.7 or later, you can specify your default audio devices. To use the default speaker and microphone devices for your computer, select Use System Setting option for each device.

  • Call My Video System–Enter your video system address, if it's not already there, and select Call Me to connect using your video conferencing device.

    It may take 5–10 seconds from the time you answer the call until the system establishes the connection. During the 5–10 seconds, the system puts the call on hold.

Webex saves your audio selections for your next meeting on this site.


 

If these options appear dimmed, audio may not be available until the host joins the meeting.

To mute or unmute yourself at any time, select the microphone icon.


 

Applies to the latest channel release

While you're muted, you can press and hold the spacebar to unmute temporarily. When you finish speaking, stop pressing the spacebar and you're muted again. If the meeting host doesn't permit attendees to unmute themselves, you receive a notification.

Select Audio Connection, and then choose Switch Connection. Then in the Audio and Video Connection dialog box, choose a different audio connection.

Select Call me at a different number.

Enter a phone number and select Call Me.

The phone number that you enter into Webex Meetings is saved for your next meeting on this site.

Hover over the meeting controls and go to More options.

Select Audio Connection > Change settings.

Select Test to hear the volume at its current setting.

You can use the sensitivity sliders to adjust the speaker volume and microphone sensitivity.
