IMPORTANT: Cisco Webex announces the discontinuation of the Webex in Box integration. This integration will no longer be supported, and no new installations will be possible beyond April 30th, 2024. If the integration is already enabled for a user, then it should continue to work until July 31st, 2024.
The ability to share and view Box files in the Webex app using the paperclip is not affected by this announcement and will continue to be supported.
For the commercial Webex environment, confirm the following settings.

Before you begin

You must have admin or co-admin access to the Box Admin Console.

Sign in to Control Hub, then under Management, select Apps.

In the Embedded Apps section, toggle on Allowed. enabling website urls and embedded apps

Select the Embedded Apps tab, then click Website URLs.

In the Access section, toggle on Enabled. This ensures that the Box tab is added to the space when sharing in a space from Box.

Update the Application Settings for Your Enterprise to enable official Box apps and third-party apps.

Select an option for the Status of the app:

  • Disabled—Turn off app access.
  • Available—Install and use the app at any time.
  • Added by Default—Automatically install the app.

Follow the instructions for Installing Recommended Apps in your Enterprise.

Select Share in Webex, and any other available apps for Box users in your organization.

Toggle on Enable Box Activity Stream to turn on Share to Webex events in Box.
