You can choose to leave a voice message for a person directly. You don’t have to talk to the person first. If the person doesn’t have a voicemail account, you can reach their phone, not their voicemail.

Before you begin

The passcode refers to your Voicemail PIN. If you've forgotten your PIN, you can reset it in the User Hub portal. For more details, see Set or reset your voicemail PIN.

An internal caller can reach a person's voicemail directly by performing the following steps. For an external caller, it depends on the voicemail settings of the called party.

  • If you're calling from your own phone, enter your passcode followed by #.
  • If you’re not calling from your own phone, press *, enter your mailbox ID followed by #, and then enter your passcode followed by #.
3

Press 1 to access the voice messages, and then press 5 to compose and send a message.

4

Record your message after the tone, and press # to end the recording.

5

Press 3 to send the message to one or more persons.

6

Enter the recipient's mailbox ID followed by #.

7

Press # again to send the message.

To add another recipient's mailbox ID, repeat the steps 6 and 7.
