Error: "Windows cannot find 'C:\users\xxx\AppData\LocalLow\Webex|Webex\1226\atinst.exe".

Problems joining meeting from Windows 8, Error: "Windows cannot find 'C:\users\xxx\AppData\LocalLow\Webex\Webex\1226\atinst.exe".

User gets an Error: "Windows cannot find 'C:\users\xxx\AppData\LocalLow\Webex\Webex\1226\atinst.exe" when joining a meeting.
 

Note: Beginning with Cisco Webex Meetings Suite (WBS) 31.3, Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 will no longer be supported on Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Internet Explorer 10 users starting or joining a meeting may get the the following errors:

"Windows cannot find 'C:\users\xxx\AppData\LocalLow\Webex\Webex\1226\atinst.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
Error: "Windows cannot find 'C:\users\xxx\AppData\LocalLow\Webex\Webex\1226\atinst.exe."

Internet Explorer 10 is only partially supported by Webex.

To start or join your meeting, try switching browsers to Firefox or Chrome.
 
To continue using Internet Explorer 10, use the workaround below:
  1. Log in to your computer as an administrator.
  2. Open Internet Explorer 10.
  3. Go to the Tools menu, then select Internet Options.
    • Note: If the Tools menu is not visible, press the Alt + T keys on your keyboard.
  4. Go to the Security tab.
  5. Disable the Protected Mode option.
  6. Reboot your PC.
  7. Try to join your meeting again.

If the above steps still do not resolve the issue, you will need to use either Firefox or Chrome to join your meeting.
