Configure Enterprise Content Management Settings in Cisco Webex Control Hub
You can choose which enterprise content management platform your users access in Cisco Webex Teams. Configure settings for your enterprise content management platform and manage access to Cisco Webex Teams standard storage. You can provide permission for all users in your organization or specific users, to access your enterprise content management in Webex Teams.
Before you begin
Any changes to these settings can take up to 24 hours to appear in the apps or they are applied when users restart the app or sign out and sign in again.
From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com, go to Services and on the Message card, click Settings.
Scroll to Content Management.
Click Edit Settings and choose from the following:
Cisco Webex Teams Native Storage—Store files and screen captures your users share in Webex Teams using Webex Teams standard storage.
This setting doesn't apply to whiteboards and annotations. Whiteboards and annotations are always stored using Webex Teams standard storage.
This option is enabled by default and you need Pro Pack for Cisco Webex Control Hub to disable this option. After this is disabled, your users are prevented from uploading local files.
Microsoft—Add your Microsoft content management platform for your users. This allows Webex Teams to access either OneDrive or SharePoint Online or both, depending on your enterprise content management configuration.
Disable linked folders—Users can't link a folder to a Webex Teams space.
Enable linked folders—Users can link a folder to a Webex Teams space and they can choose if a file shared in the space is also added to the linked folder.
Enable linked folders and make them the default storage location—Users can link a folder to a Webex Teams space and all files shared in the space are added to the linked folder.
Azure Active Directory (AD) Tenant Name—Optionally, you can enter an Azure Active Directory (AD) Tenant Name. Then, only users with a work or school account from this Azure AD tenant can sign in to use this enterprise content management in the Webex Teams app.
Box—Add your Box content management for your users.
Screen Capture—Store screen capture content using Webex Teams standard storage and enable the Screen Capture option in the Webex Teams app.
This is enabled by default and you need Pro Pack for Cisco Webex Control Hub to edit this option. After this setting is disabled, your users won't have the Screen Capture option in the Webex Teams app.
Provide access for your users, under Manage Users choose one of the following:
Manually enable for each user—Choose to enable your enterprise content management settings for specific users, then click Manage Users.
Then add permissions when you manually add or modify users or you can use a CSV file to add or modify users setting the Enterprise Content Management column to True in the CSV file.
Globally enable for all users—Enable your enterprise content management settings for all of the users in your organization. This overwrites any user settings you may have applied for individual users.
