Cisco Webex Meetings Desktop App

Before you begin

The pre-meeting app is provided by default and is automatically installed as a part of the Desktop app package. So, if your administrator does not mass deploy the pre-meeting desktop app, then it will be installed automatically.

1

Open the Cisco Webex Meeting desktop app.

2

Click Update to get the latest version of the desktop app.

3

To manually check for updates, select the gear icon and click Check for Updates.

Cisco Webex Productivity Tools

If your site administrator leaves the Automatically upgrade Webex Productivity Tools when new versions are available unchecked in Webex Site Administration or Webex Control Hub, then Productivity Tools will stay on version WBS39.10. IT administrators will then have to deploy the latest version of Productivity Tools on a regular basis.

End of Support for Mac Productivity Tools

The final release for Productivity Tools for Mac will be 41.5 as Microsoft plans to block injection-based plugins on Mac Outlook beginning in mid-May. Mac based Outlook customers who wish to use Webex should move to the Cisco Webex Scheduler.

Webex Productivity Tools is a separate package from the Webex Meetings desktop app from WBS39.10. The Mac version of Productivity Tools no longer supports integrations with IBM Lotus Notes, IBM Sametime, Microsoft Lync, Internet Explorer, and Skype for Business from WBS41.2.
