Lock the device settings for a user or workspace
When you're a full administrator, you can lock device settings, such as network setup. When you lock the device settings, specific settings for all assigned Board, Desk, and Room Series devices can no longer be changed by anyone other than an administrator.
Here are the settings that you can lock on Board, Desk, and Room Series devices. Keep in mind that it's all or nothing. If you lock the Settings menu, all of the following settings are locked.
-
Language
-
Time zone
-
Resolution
-
Overscan
-
Camera default preset
-
Network setup
-
Touch panel network connection
-
Unpair touch panel
-
Factory reset
To change these setting from the Settings menu when it's locked, you need to enter the device's admin user name and password.
For devices, you can set the configuration UserInterface SettingsMenu Mode either on individual devices or in bulk.
You can either:
-
Set the configuration on one device.
-
Set the configuration on multiple devices.
-
Use configuration templates.
-
Use default configurations for your organization or location.
For more details on the different ways to set configurations, see the Device configurations for Board, Desk, and Room Series devices article.
