Only Webex host account holders on your site can be designated as a cohost or alternate host. Starting with the WBS40.9 update, the cohost role replaced the alternate host role. For more information, see Cohosts.

Sign in to Webex Site Administration and go to Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options.

Scroll to Schedule Meeting Options section, and check any of the following:

  • To allow users to assign cohosts or alternate hosts, check Users can let other users schedule meetings on their behalf

    • Allow users to let anyone with a host account on this site host their scheduled meetings

    • Video confrencing systems in my organization can start and join meetings without a prompt.

      • Allow users to change this preference

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update.

From the Customer View in https://admin.webex.com, go to Services > Meetings.

Choose the Webex site that you want to change the settings for, and select Configure Site.

Under Common Settings, select Site Options.
