Only Webex host account holders on your site can be designated as a cohost or alternate host. Meetings and Webinars use the cohost role, while Events (classic) continues to use the alternate host role. For more information, see Cohosts.

Sign in to Webex Site Administration and go to Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options.

Scroll to Schedule Meeting Options section, and check any of the following:

  • To allow users to assign cohosts or alternate hosts, check Users can let other users schedule meetings on their behalf

    • Allow users to let anyone with a host account on this site host their scheduled meetings

    • Video conferencing systems in my organization can start and join meetings without a prompt.

      • Allow users to change this preference

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update.

Sign in to Control Hub, and go to Services > Meeting.

Click Sites, choose the Webex site that you want to change the settings for, and then click Settings.

Under Common Settings, select Scheduler.

In the Schedule meeting options section, select any of the following:

  • To allow users to assign cohosts or alternate hosts, toggle on:

    • Users can let other users schedule meetings on their behalf.

    • When scheduling a meeting, users can choose an alternate host (or a cohost).
    • Allow users to let anyone with a host account on this site host their scheduled meetings or Personal Room meetings.
