Your Board and Desk device work as a physical extension to your Webex App. When the app, either mobile or desktop, is connected to the device, you can collaborate with others in your Webex space from the device. Call your colleagues, view the files that have been shared, and continue working on the whiteboards you have created in your last meeting. Read this article for more details on how to connect the Webex App to your device.
This article applies to Board and Desk series devices in either personal or shared mode, and to DX 70 and DX 80 in shared mode only.

When your Mac or Windows Webex App is connected to a device, you see the device's name on the top right of your app. If you want to pair to another device, select one of the other devices you have been connected to earlier or search for one by name. |

Select the Webex space that you want to open on your device. Then, click Open a Space. |

Now you can see the name of the opened space on the device's screen and access all the activities on it. |

To close the space, select Close Space on the Webex app. |

When your Webex App is connected to a device, you see a green signal icon at the top left corner of your space list, next to your profile picture. If you want to pair to another device, click on signal icon, disconnect, and select another device. |

Tap on the signal icon at the top left corner of your screen. You can also go to the activity menu of the space, and tap Open a space. You can see the name of the opened space on the device's screen. |

To close the space, select Close Space from the app. |
With a space opened on your device, you can create new whiteboards that are automatically saved to that space. You can also continue working on whiteboards that have been saved to that space earlier.
On the device's home screen, tap Whiteboard to get access to saved whiteboards. From the whiteboard screen, you can also create a new whiteboard by tapping New whiteboard . When you're done, you can save the whiteboard to the space by tapping More and Save board. Select the opened space, under Save to an Existing Space. Everyone in the space can find your whiteboard in the Content tab of that space.

The files and pictures you and your coworkers have shared in a space can be viewed on the device when you have that space open on it. To do that, tap Files on the home screen and select the file you want to open. Scroll up or down through the file you are sharing. To zoom in and out, pinch the image on the board.
You can open files in the following formats: .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpeg, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .svg, .xls, and .xlsx. The files must be less than 150 pages and under 200 MB. Other types of files can be uploaded but they will not show a thumbnail preview.
To go back to the file overview, tap the bottom left files icon, next the annotation icon.
Microsoft OneDrive or SharePoint Online files that you have shared in a space can also be viewed when you have that space open on it. In order to open these files, the Web Engine needs to be enabled.
OneDrive and SharePoint Online documents can also be found in Files on the home screen. Tap Connect to server and Login to OneDrive. You may need to log in to view or edit the document, however, the session information is cleared when you close the space.
After opening a space on your device, tap Call on the device's home screen. Tap Call to start the call.
You can see who joined the call by tapping Participants.
If you don’t want to include everyone in the space to your call, you must first close the space from the device. Then, tap Call on the home screen to call the people you want to get in touch with.
