  1. Proxy Address Attribute:
The Outlook integration can be broken due to changes in the SIP URI proxy address attribute. To view the SIP address for the user in outlook:
  1. Right-click on a contact card.
  2. Click Open Outlook Properties.
  3. Click the E-mail Addresses tab.
The SIP address in the Proxy Address attribute is the key to get it working. The Proxy Address Attribute field must match the customer's email ID. This is recommended by Microsoft. Webex does the lookup based on the users’ email address (JID). 
The user’s email address must match the Proxy Address Attribute in Active Directory (AD). For Example: SIP:<userid>@<customerdomain>
It may take up to 24 hours for AD change to take effect to Outlook Client. So you won’t see presence working straight away.
  1. Reinstall Webex App and re-run the command prompt:
    1. Start a command prompt as administrator.
    2. Cd to 'C:\Users\acon\AppData\Local\Programs\CiscoSpark\dependencies'
    3. Run 'regsvr32.exe spark-windows-office-integration.dll' if registered successfully, restart spark, and then restart outlook. You should get a message:

 To avoid the pop up above that the installation is a success:
  • Regsvr32.exe /s spark-windows-office-integration.dll if registration is successful then SPARK_DUMMY will be in the registry.

regsvr32.exe /s /u spark-windows-office-integration.dll

Users must restart Webex App and Outlook to see the status from Webex App in Outlook.  When we run the unregister command we don’t remove MS registry keys, just our own when we unregister the dll. If you unregister, then you shouldn’t show any presence pills unless someone else takes over.
  1. Verify that the MAPI connection is successful:
    • Choose Settings > Help > Show Connection status:

  1. Make sure there is no other Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol (XMPP) / Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) application integrated with Microsoft Outlook that provides presence. Such as: Lync, Windows Live Messenger, Office Communicator, Windows Messenger, Cisco Unified Communication Integration with Microsoft Lync 2010 (CUCILync), Cisco Unified Communication Integration with Microsoft Office Communicator (CUCIMOC), Cisco Unified Personal Communicator (CUPC), and WebEx Connect.
To disable Add-ins:
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook, click the File tab, then choose Options.
  2. Click the Add-Ins button.
  3. Select Com Add-ins from the Manage drop-down, then select Go... 
  4. On the Add-ins available window, Uncheck the entry for the above list and click OK.
  5. Exit and restart Outlook.

5) The option 'Display online status next to name' should be enabled in Outlook.
To enable go to: File > Options > Contacts or People:
