You can call someone from your Favorites, Recents, or Directory list. You can also enter their number in the Search or Dial field.


  • A directory search returns a maximum of 100 entries.

  • You can only call one person or a meeting room at a time from your Room Series device or Webex Board.

  • You will only see the Directory list if you don't have any favorite or recently called contacts.

Make a call from your directory

Tap Call on the home screen.

Start typing your contact's name in the Search or dial field to get suggestions from the directory. In larger organizations, enter at least three characters to see search results. You can also select a contact from the Recents or Favorites list.

Tap the contact's name and tap Call .

Search for a contact by name and tap them on the suggestion list. You can also select a contact from the Recents or Favorites list. Tap Edit and Call on the contact card. Edit the number or video address in the search field.

When you're done, tap Call to place the call.

To call someone outside of your directory, or someone whose number you know, tap the Search or dial field and enter their number. You can also enter a video address in order to join or start a scheduled meeting.

If Webex Calling is enabled on your device

If Webex Calling is enabled on your device, you'll be able to call mobile phones and landlines. In that case, you'll see your contacts' phone numbers available to select and dial in your directory, including on favorites and recents.

If you select to call someone on their phone number, during the call you'll have access to some additional buttons that let you:

  • Place the call on hold and then resume it

  • Transfer the call

  • Add participants to create a conference call

  • Send and receive voicemail
