Cisco Desk Camera automatically appears in the Control Hub inventory when it connects to Webex App or Webex App for VDI . You can view camera inventory details and manage the firmware for the deployed cameras.

As an administrator, you can view and sort through individual cameras in Control Hub.
Each camera page displays the camera model, serial number, firmware version, connection status, and how long the camera has been connected. You can also view the camera settings.
1 | From the customer view in Control Hub, go to Devices. |
2 | Search for your camera in the inventory. |
3 | Click your camera from the results to open the device page, where you can view more details. |
4 | To view camera settings, click All configurations from the camera page. You can change only the firmware channel for your camera. The others reflect user settings and are read-only on Control Hub. |
As an administrator, you can specify the firmware channel for the deployed devices to use. When you deploy a new camera firmware to a specific channel, the users on that channel are prompted to upgrade their cameras.
You can specify the firmware channel for a single device or for a group of devices.
If you need to change the firmware channel for an individual camera, follow these steps:
1 | From the customer view in Control Hub, go to Devices. |
2 | Click the camera device from the inventory to open the camera page. |
3 | Click All Configurations on the Configurations card. |
4 | Click Firmware > Channel. |
5 | Select a firmware channel from the drop-down menu. |
6 | Click Save. |
Make your work easier and more efficient by applying a firmware channel to multiple cameras at a time.
1 | From the customer view in Control Hub, go to Devices. |
2 | Select your devices from the device inventory. |
3 | Click Edit. |
4 | On the right panel, select Device Configurations. |
5 | Select Firmware and select a firmware channel from the drop-down menu. |
6 | Click Next. On the confirmation page, you can see how many devices will use the new setting. |
7 | Review your changes and click Apply. |
