You can converse with several people in a single call. When you’re on a phone call, you can dial another person and add them into the conversation without having to schedule a meeting. As a host, you can remove a participant from the conference call.


 
According to your administrator's configuration, other participants (non-host users) may also have the removal permission.

If you have multiple phone lines, you can join two calls across two lines. The conference will end automatically when all participants hang up.

Add more people to a call

You can invite additional participants to join your ongoing call and hold an ad-hoc conference. By default, the conference call can accommodate up to 4 person, including yourself as the host. If you need to increase the capacity, consult your administrator.

While you are on a call, locate and select Conf / Conference or press Conference the Conference key.

The current call is put on hold automatically.


 
The soft button (Conf or Conference) varies depending on the phone model.

In the Recents or Directories tab, search and select the contact that you want to add to the conference call.

You can also directly enter a phone number of the contact that you want to add in the search bar.

Do one of the following actions according to your need:

  • If you want to directly add the person to the call, select Conf / Conference.
  • You can wait for the person to answer your call, consult with them, and then add them to the conference call.

(Optional) If you have other calls that are put on hold, you can quickly add person from the Calls list:

For 9841, 9851, and 9861 phones On the in-call screen, press Calls, choose a held call from the list, and then press Conf / Conference.

for 9871 On the in-call screen, select More > Conference, and then choose a held call from the Calls tab.

Repeat Step 1 through Step 4 to add more person.

View and manage participants

You can view the participants who join the current conference call. If you are the host of the conference call, you can remove participants from the conference call. According to the administrator's configuration, all participants might have the permission to remove participants.

If you don't see the Participants soft button in a conference, consult your administrator.

Before you begin

Your administrator allows you to view and manage the conference participants.

When in a conference call, locate and select Participants.

The participants list displays. If you want to remove certain participant from the conference, proceed with the next step.

Select Remove on the participant that you want to remove.


 
The conference call will end automatically when all participants hang up.

(Optional) To refresh the participants list, select Update.
