Add a Webex Site in Cisco Webex Control Hub

You can add Webex sites in Cisco Webex Control Hub, and decide if you want to manage your users in Webex Site Administration or in Cisco Webex Control Hub.

If you purchased Webex services from a partner, contact the partner if you want to manage the Webex site in Control Hub.

From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com, go to Services, and select Sites.

2

Select Add Site.

3

Choose the subscription to add your new site to, and select Next.

4

Click Next.

5

Enter the site name, time zone, and choose where you want to manage your users.

To ensure that your site receives access to features in advance of the normal deployment cycle, select the checkbox for Set up Webex site for early release. You can't change this setting after the site has been created.
6

Select Validate, and then choose Next.

Choose the time zone where most of your users are located.

7

Distribute licenses across sites, and then select Save.

Delete a Webex Site in Cisco Webex Control Hub

You can delete Webex sites that are managed in Cisco Webex Control Hub. You must have at least one Webex site associated with your subscription.

  • When you delete a Webex site, you lose all the recordings that are associated with that site. It's a good idea to download Webex recordings before deleting your site.

  • After the Webex site has been deleted, scheduled meetings on that site won't work anymore. You'll need to educate your users to use a different or new Webex site for their meetings.

If your site is linked, then you must contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to unlink the Webex site first before you can delete it.

1

From the customer view in https://admin.webex.com, go to Services, and select Sites.

2

Select the site that you want to delete, and then choose Delete Site.

3

Select Delete.

This action CANNOT be undone.

4

Redistribute the licenses that are associated with the site you're deleting, and select Delete.

Set Default Version for New Webex Sites

Cisco Partners can set the default Webex version that installs on new sites. If default version installation is enabled, you cannot change the minimum site version on a per-customer basis. This setting doesn't affect customers whose sites were already provisioned before hand.

1

From the partner view in https://admin.webex.com, go to Settings, and then scroll to Webex.

2

Under Cisco Webex Teams Application Version, check Provision new Webex Sites with the latest client version, or uncheck that box and select a different Webex version from the drop-down list.
