Cisco Jabber for Windows is not Displaying Updated Profile Pictures
The contact list images are cached locally on the PC. The Jabber client is currently unable to address dynamic updates of contact images.
Cisco Jabber for Windows is not displaying updated profile pictures.
I do not see my colleague's updated profile picture in Cisco Jabber for Windows.
Cisco Jabber for Windows Client does not automatically update the contact picture that has been updated in Active Directory.
Cisco Jabber for Windows shows an old profile picture rather than the updated picture in Active Directory.
Solution:
The contact list images are cached locally on the PC. The Jabber client is currently unable to address dynamic updates of contact images.
To resolve the issue:
- In Jabber, go to the File menu, then select Exit.
- Delete the locally cached images in the following location:
- Microsoft Windows 7:
- C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\Photos
- Microsoft Windows 10:
- C:\Users\<userid>\AppData\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\Photo Cache
- Microsoft Windows 7:
- After deleting all of the files in the Photos folder, relaunch Jabber.
The updated contact images will now be displayed.
