As a site administrator, you can enable local recordings on Windows desktop devices for meetings, events, and sessions. Meetings and events are recorded in MP4 format, while training recordings are saved in WRF format. Allowing local recording can save your organization storage space and give your users immediate access to recordings.

Hosts must join with VoIP for the audio to be recorded.

1

Sign in to Site Administration and go to Configuration > Common Site Settings > Options .

2

In the Site Options section, check Enable local recording for Webex meetings, events, training sessions, and Webex Teams meetings to allow users to save recordings directly onto their computers.

3

Users must accept the disclaimer to begin recording the meeting.

To have a disclaimer appear before locally recording a meeting as an MP4 file, select Show disclaimer for local recording (MP4 only) , and enter a URL link to your organization's privacy guidelines in the text field.

4

The following network recording features are not available with local MP4 recordings:

  • Transcriptions.

  • Recording of chats, participant lists, or files shared during the meeting.
