You can now connect to a device that's in a meeting and share content to all attendees, even if you're not in the meeting yourself. Quickly step into a conference room to share the latest presentation with your team without pausing to join the meeting.

1

Open your Webex Meetings desktop app on your Windows or Mac computer.

2

Select Connect to a device and select the video device you’d like to use.

3

Select Share screen .

For cloud-registered video devices, this feature is only available when signed in to an account on a Cisco Webex Control Hub-managed site, or an account on a Cisco Webex Site Administration-managed site where both the site and account have been linked to Control Hub. Contact your site administrator to find out where your site is managed. Find out more about site and account linking here .

On WBS33.7 or later sites, you can share videos, animations, or dynamic content on a cloud-registered video device with content optimized for motion and video:

  1. Select Optimize for motion and video .

If you don't optimize for motion and video, your content is optimized for text and images, just like it was when you shared content in earlier releases of Webex Meetings.

  2. Check the Share your computer audio check box if you want to let everyone hear audio from your computer through the video device. We recommend this option if you're sharing a video or animation that has sound.

If you have joined using the (Call In or Call Me) into the audio bridge from a softphone (like Skype or Jabber), the option to share your computer audio causes the participant's audio to be duplicated, creating bad echoes. The workaround is to join audio from Call Using Computer or calling in with a different phone, other than a soft phone on the same PC if the presenter wants to share their computer audio.

The first time that you choose to share your computer audio, you see a message asking if you want to install an extension.

Select Install and follow the on-screen instructions, or select Not now .

Optimize for motion and video and Share your computer audio aren't supported for on-premise video devices.

5

Select the content that you want to share.

6

If you shared your computer audio in Step 4, select in the Webex Meetings desktop app to adjust the video device volume remotely.
