Learn how to forward calls on your Cisco Wireless Phone 9821. This Help article is for Cisco Wireless Phone 9821 registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Unified CM).

To avoid missing calls when you're away from office or your line is busy, set the phone to redirect incoming calls to an alternative phone number or to your voicemail.

Call forward is phone-line specific. If a call reaches you on a line where call forwarding is not enabled, the call rings as usual.

After you configure the call forwarding service on a line, the icon Call forwarded icon indicates that all incoming calls on this line will be redirected to another number. You can find the forwarded-to destination near the line name or number.

Access the Phone 9821 Phone app icon app.

(Optional) Select a line.

Press More 9821 More button and select Forward all.

Do one of the following as needed:

  • Select an entry from your Recents call list.
  • Enter the number to receive the calls.

Once a phone number is matched, the setting completes immediately.

All incoming calls will be forwarded to the specified destination.

What to do next

To turn off the call forwarding service, select the line that has call forwarding enabled, press More and select Forward off.
