You can use your Webex site in Modern View as your dashboard for starting, join upcoming meetings, webinars, events, and training sessions, and schedule new meetings and webinars.
Modern View
Use your Webex site in Modern View to access commonly used site controls directly from the dashboard. You can easily start Webex Personal Room meetings, join upcoming meetings, events, and training sessions, and schedule new meetings.
In Modern View, the dashboard is the home page. You can return to it at any time by selecting Home on the left navigation bar.
Modern View may be updated in future updates to add new and existing Webex site capabilities from Classic View to Modern View. For more information, see Cisco Webex Modern View Support Matrix.
When you use your Facebook, Google, or Microsoft Office 365 account to sign in to your Webex site, it becomes your default sign-in method. Site administrators can disable these third-party sign-in features. |
Personal Room is available only for sites that have the Webex Meetings service.
From the Personal Room section of your dashboard, you can select Start a Meeting to start a meeting in your Personal Room. For more information, see Start a Webex Personal Room Meeting in Modern View. Before you start a meeting, configure your settings to join meetings in the way that works best for you. For more information, see Choose how you join Webex Meetings from your Webex site.
Select More ways to join to see other ways to join a meeting in your Personal Room, including how to join by phone or from a video device.
You can select the Copy icon next to your Personal Room name to copy this information to paste it into an email or conversation.
From the Search for meetings and recordings text box, you can enter the number or Personal Room ID for the meeting, webinar, event, training session, or room that you want to join. After you enter the meeting, event, or training session number or Personal Room ID in the text box, select the button.
You can find the host's Personal Room host ID in the Personal Room link. For example, if the Personal Room link is company.webex.com/meet/jparker, the Personal Room ID is jparker. You can find the 9-digit meeting number in your email invitation. |
In the Recent Personal Rooms list, you can select one of the profile pictures to enter a room you've recently joined.
You can also customize your Recent Personal Rooms list by pinning the most important Personal Rooms to your list. To pin a Personal Room, place your mouse over the profile picture that you want to pin in place, and select the pin icon that appears over the profile picture. The pin icon changes to solid orange after clicking it.
When joining a meeting you're not invited to, you need to enter the meeting password before you can join. After you join the meeting, the meeting details open in the Meetings page of your Webex site. For more ways to join a meeting, see Join a Webex Meeting. |
From the home page, you can start or schedule a meeting, or schedule a webinar.
Selecting Start a Meeting starts a meeting in your Personal Room right now. Choose how you want to access the meeting by mousing over the drop-down arrow and selecting Use desktop app or Use web app.
Select Schedule a meeting or Schedule a webinar to go to the scheduling page and enter your meeting or webinar information. Then, select the date, time, and duration of your meeting or webinar.
At the bottom of the page, select Start to start your meeting right away or Schedule to schedule your meeting or webinar for later. For more information, see Schedule a Webex Meeting and Schedule Webex Webinars.
In the Upcoming Meetings section of your dashboard, you can see up to four upcoming meetings, webinars, events, or training sessions. If you're the host, select Start whenever you're ready to start your meeting. Select Join when it's time to join someone else's meeting.
To see more upcoming meetings, webinars, events, or training sessions, you can select View all meetings in the lower left corner to see your meetings list.
To display your My Webex Meetings page, select Meetings on the left navigation bar. You can sort the list of your meetings, webinars, events, and training sessions to show only your scheduled meetings, within a specified range of dates.

Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for your upcoming meetings and meeting recordings that you want to play back.

To edit your profile on your Webex site, select your name in the upper-right corner of your Webex site and then select My Profile. On the My Webex Profile page, you can select View my People Insights profile to edit or manage the People Insights information used in your meetings and webinars. You can also select Edit My Profile to edit your first name, last name, and your profile picture.
Select Edit to edit your email address or your password.
You can access your recordings by selecting Recordings from the left navigation bar. The My Recorded Meetings page lists the recordings for Webex meetings, webinars, events, and training sessions that you hosted. Recordings that other hosts share with you appear in the list as well.
When the meeting or webinar ends, Webex begins generating your recording. A Generating status appears next to the recording while Webex processes it.

You can edit your preferences by selecting Preferences from the left navigation bar. There are five tabs on the Preferences page: General, My Personal Room, Audio and Video, Scheduling, and Recording.
In the General tab, you can edit your time zone, language, region, and linked accounts.
You can view Personal Room meetings, even meetings scheduled from third-party calendars. Personal Room meetings appear the same as scheduled Webex meetings, whether you schedule the meeting using:

In the My Personal Room tab, you can edit your Personal Room name, view your Personal Room link, edit your Host PIN, choose to automatically lock your Personal Room, allow others to host meetings in your Personal Room, and choose your notification settings. For more information, see Set Personal Room Preferences in Modern View in Cisco Webex Meetings.
If you set your meeting to automatically lock 0 minutes after the meeting starts, we recommend that you start your meeting from the Meetings app and not from a video device. If you start your meeting from a video device, you can't unlock the meeting and admit participants. To find out which versions you’re using, see Find Your Cisco Webex Meetings Version Number.

In the Audio and Video tab, you can edit the settings for your audio connection type and entry and exit tone, edit your Call Me numbers, select whether you want to display a toll-free number and a global call-in number to attendees, and add details for your video systems. For more information, see Set Audio and Video Preferences in Modern View in Cisco Webex Meetings.

In the Scheduling tab, allow recordings to be shared automatically and allow other hosts to schedule meetings on your behalf. All settings except Meeting type and Scheduling permission apply only to meetings scheduled in Modern View. For more information, see Set Scheduling Preferences in Modern View in Cisco Webex Meetings.

In the Recording tab, you can create transcripts automatically for your new MP4 recordings and select the screen layout for new MP4 recordings. For more information, see Set Recording Preferences in Modern View in Cisco Webex Meetings.

As meeting host, you can see a weekly summary of your meetings from the Insights section of your dashboard.

Select Insights on the left navigation bar to go the Insights page.
On the Insights page, see how many meetings you hosted, your total meeting minutes, your average number of attendees per meeting, and more.

You can select Support on the left navigation bar to go to the Webex Help Center. There you can search for help articles, look at release notes, watch tutorials, and contact a support representative.
Customized support and contact information may appear for Webex Control Hub-managed sites or for Webex Site Administration-managed sites that are linked to Control Hub. Contact your site administrator for more information about your site.

If you select the audio connection type, Other teleconference service (in ), the setting won't apply to Webex Personal Room meetings if Webex Personal Conference is selected as the default Meeting type in .

These are the limitations and features to be updated.

Preferences – Setting changes that are made in the Audio and Video tab and the Scheduling tab apply to both Modern View and Classic View. However, setting changes that are made in Classic View do not apply to Modern View.
No Planned Updates
These are the limitations and features that won't be updated.

Customer types – Meetings Server and Cisco Unified MeetingPlace sites.

Insight – FedRAMP-authorized Meetings sites don't support meeting insights, this includes the Weekly Meeting Report tile, and the Insight page.

Site Settings – Modern View sites that have the Webex web app disabled are no longer able to keep this setting. Enabling the web app allows Modern View users to join meetings regardless of their device, platform, or operating system. Modern View users have access to the web app without exception.

Custom Links – Custom Links will not be available, but site administrators can customize the Support and Downloads links to redirect to their own pages.
