Error: 'Enter the Teleconference, Pass code and Other Instructions' while scheduling a Personal Room meeting using the Webex Desktop App.

Unable to schedule a Personal Room meeting using the Webex Desktop App, prompts to enter teleconference information.

 

A Personal Room meeting scheduled using the Webex Desktop App, uses the Webex Meetings default template. If the site has Webex Audio enabled and 'Default site audio option:' is set to Other teleconferencing service, then the users will encounter an Error: 'Enter the Teleconference, Pass code and Other Instructions' while scheduling a Personal Room meeting using Webex Desktop App.

For Site Administrators

To resolve this issue change the default audio conference type:
  1. Log in to your Webex site administration page. (Example: SITENAME.Webex.com/admin.php)
  2. Click on Configuration.
  3. Hover the mouse on Common Site Settings Options.
  4. Scroll down to the Default Scheduler Options section.
  5. In the Default site audio options: area, select the Webex teleconferencing radio button.
  6. Go to the bottom of the page, then click the Update button.

For Hosts

Host may create a new meeting template and change the audio conferencing type to Webex Audio.
To set the default template in the Webex Desktop App:
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Click on the Webex or Schedule Meeting drop-down arrow in the Webex Toolbar.
  3. Select Meeting Templates.
  4. In the Meeting Template drop-down box, select the template you created.
  5. Click the Set as My Default button.
  6. Click the Close button.
Note: Meeting Templates are available only if site administration settings allow hosts to use templates for Outlook.
