Pairing is failing between the Webex Mobile Clients and the Cisco TelePresence SX10 Quick Set.

The Cisco TelePresence SX10 Quick Set is not able to pair with the Webex mobile Client.

The Cisco TelePresence SX10 device cannot locate the Webex mobile client using ultrasound.

The Cisco Intelligent Proximity feature with the new SX10 (CTS-SX10N-K9) allows users to pair the Webex mobile client using ultrasound technology. The system will perform an ultrasound test to verify the ultrasound decode quality during the first time setup. If the Webex mobile client does not pair, make sure the proximity features is enabled on the mobile client under Settings. If the Proximity Feature is not listed under Settings on the mobile client, then the device cannot pair. The feature needs to be enabled by an Administrator.

To turn-on Proximity Features on the Webex mobile client:

  1. Log in to the Webex app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the Menu icon on the top left corner of the app.
  3. Tap on Settings.
  4. Tap to turn-on Proximity Features.
Note: A Green color on the icon indicates ON. A Grey color on the icon indicates OFF.
