Suspend a user in your organization
list-menuFeedback?
Suspend a user to turn off their Webex services.

An administrator can suspend a user in Control Hub. This is different from deleting a user because the user remains in your organization and you can reactivate them later. If your organization uses directory synchronization (e.g. DirSync, Okta, Entra ID), then you should manage users in your directory instead, and then sync any changes to Webex.

Suspended Webex App users are signed out of their sessions. When people call the suspended user’s number, they hear this message: The person you are trying to reach is out of service. All user access to the user portal and Control Hub is disabled. MPP phones continue to support calling for outbound and inbound calls for a short time, unless the administrator enables call intercept for that user.

Suspending a user doesn't revoke their Webex licenses. The user can't sign in or access Webex services, but they keep their licenses. You can remove any unused licenses in the Users page.

1

Sign in to Control Hub.

2

Go to Management > Users.

3

Go to the profile of the user you want to suspend and click Actions > Suspend.

4

Click Suspend to confirm.

Webex services are now deactivated for this user.

To reactivate a suspended user, click Actions > Reactivate.
