Forward calls on 9800/8875 (Unified CM)

This Help article is for Cisco Desk Phone 9800 Series and Cisco Video Phone 8875 registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

To avoid missing calls when you're away from office or your line is busy, set the phone to redirect incoming calls to an alternative phone number or to your voicemail.

After you configure the call forwarding service on a line, the icon Call forwarded icon indicates that all incoming calls on this line will be redirected to another number. You can find the forwarded-to destination near the line name or number.

Do one of the following actions:

  • On a phone with a single line, locate and press FWD all or Forward all.
  • On a phone with multiple lines, press a line key where you want to turn on the call forwarding service on the target line. Locate and press FWD all or Forward all.
The softkey varies depending on phone models.

Do one of the following as needed:

  • Select a history call in the Recents tab, and press Call.
  • Select a contact in the Directories tab, and press Call.
  • Enter a phone number in the search bar.

    Once a phone number is matched, the setting completes immediately.

  • Enter a contact name in the search bar, and press Call.
  • Press Favorite the favorite key on the phone keypad to forward incoming calls to your voicemail.
All incoming calls will be forwarded to the specified destination. The icon Call forwarded icon and the destination number display near the line key.

(Optional) To turn off the call forwarding service, do the following:

  • On the phone with a single line, locate and press FWD off or Forward off.
  • On the phone with multiple lines, press the line that has call forwarding enabled. Locate and press FWD off or Forward off.

  • On a phone with a single line, swipe on the phone home screen to locate and tap the Forward all Desk Phone 9871 "Call Forwarding" shortcut. shortcut.
  • On a phone with multiple lines, tap More More Options button on the line that you want to set call forwarding, and then toggle on Forward all.

  • Tap a history call in the tab Recents.
