Configure the programmable softkey buttons

The softkeys can be found located at the bottom of the phone screen. You can associate the softykeys with a service to provide a quick access for users.

From the customer view in Control Hub, go to Devices, and then select your phone.

Select All configurations.

Navigate to the Phone section and select Programmable Softkeys.

Enable the Programmable Softkeys feature by setting Enable to Yes.

Enter required keywords for each parameter to associate a softkey with a specific service.

Select Next.

Review your changes and select Apply.

Select Close to close the page.

Parameters for programmable softkeys

Some keywords may not take effect because the feature is not supported or has not been enabled. Consult your administrator or refer to the relevant feature documentation for details.

For example, the newcall keyword adds the New call softkey to the screen. On pressing, this softkey helps in intiating a new call.

For example, the dnd keyword adds the DND softkey to the screen. On pressing, this softkey helps to turn on the DND mode.

PSK1 through PSK16

Programmable softkey fields. Enter a string in these fields to configure softkeys that display on the phone screen.

Specifies the softkeys available when a call is incoming.

For example, the answer|1;ignore|2; keywords add the Answer and Decline softkeys to the screen. A user can press these softkeys to either answer a call or decline a call when the phone rings.
