It is recommended to allow 70 max forwards on your Cisco Expressway. To determine how to configure this value, please refer to the following link:

TelePresence (TP) endpoints disconnect after 30 minutes

I keep getting disconnected from my Cisco Webex Video Platform session after 30 minutes.

Video endpoints are disconnecting from Cisco Webex Video Platform meetings after being connected for 30 minutes.

Note: CMR Cloud has been renamed to Cisco Webex Video Platform. Some links and text may still refer to CMR Cloud, but information should still apply to the renamed service.

    Cause:
TP video endpoints may disconnect 30 minutes into a Cisco Webex Video Platform meeting, if the maximum forwards are configured for less than what Webex requires, which is at least 6.

    Solution:
It is recommended to allow 70 max forwards on your Cisco Expressway.

To determine how to configure this value, please refer to the following link:

    • Cisco Expressway Admin Guide
    • Cisco VCS Admin Guide

Not using our recommended value may result in other disconnect interval issues depending on the length of your meetings.
