What’s Changing: The Phone User Interface Menu on MPP is being updated to remove the user’s ability to set phone parameters that are being configured by the Device Settings Feature in Control Hub
Change Details:

User Preferences Menu/Call Preferences sub-menu

  1. Voice Mail Number – This parameter will be read-only.

  2. Call Waiting – The user can enable/disable call waiting.

  3. Secure Call – This parameter will be removed from the menu.

  4. Auto Answer Page – This parameter will be removed from the menu.

  5. Dial Assistance – This parameter will be removed from the menu.

User Preferences Menu/Screen Preferences sub-menu

  1. Screen Saver – This parameter will be removed from the user menu.

  2. Screen Saver Settings – User access to this menu is removed.

  3. Backlight Timer – This parameter is removed from the menu.

  4. Wallpaper – This parameter is removed from the menu.

User Preferences Menu/Attendant Console Preferences sub-menu

  1. Display Mode – This parameter will be read-only.

  2. BLF List – This parameter will be removed.

Network Configuration Menu/Ethernet Configuration sub-menu

  1. 802.1x - This menu and contents will be read-only.

  2. CDP – This parameter will be removed from menu.

  3. LLDP-MED – This parameter will be removed from menu.

  4. VLAN – This parameter will be removed from menu.

  5. VLAN-ID – This parameter will be removed from menu.

  6. PC Port VLAN ID – This parameter will be removed from menu.

Network Configuration Menu/WiFi Configuration sub-menu

  1. WiFi Enable – This parameter will be read-only .

  2. WiFi Profile – This menu will be read-only.

  3. WiFi Status – This menu data will be read only.

Network Configuration Menu/Web Server sub-menu

Web Server – This parameter will be read-only

Device Administration/Date/Time sub-menu

This sub-menu will be removed

“Recents” softkey is added to 2and softkey page after Contacts softkey

End User Impacts: Devices will update automatically during their nightly resync window.

New Features:

Firmware Upgrade from 11.2.1 --> 11.2.2SR1

  1. Added Capability for Remote PRT Generation

  2. Added Capability to Send Call Stats via SIP msg

  3. Ethernet bridge port mode VLAN fix

  4. Support DNS Name Authority Pointer (NAPTR)

  5. Increase support for up to 6 NAPTR records and 12 SRV records in a DNS query

End User Requirements

Webex Calling Carrier - End Users must resync or manually reboot their Cisco ATA 191 / 192 ATAs for the config changes to be applied.

Webex Calling SP, VAR - Cisco ATA 191 / 192 ATAs will update after their scheduled nightly sync.

What’s Changing:

MPP Firmware Upgrade 11.3.6 → 11.3.7

Upgrade Details:

Add HTTP proxy(s) Support (WxC & WxC Carrier)

Protect call records visible in call stats when user password set (WxC & WxC Carrier)

STIR/SHAKEN visual confirmation on devices – Only works when PSTN provider supports the feature (WxC & WxC Carrier)

MPP enable ICE compatible with CUBE 17.x (WxC Only)

Enabling the existing User Menu option to Factory Reset an MPP without the Administrative password. (WxC Only)

End User Requirements:

WxC VAR/SP – Devices will update automatically during their nightly resync window.

WxC Carrier - Devices should be rebooted after the maintenance activity date.
