The 'Show Webex Availability in Microsoft Outlook' Option is Grayed Out in the Webex App
This option allows you to see Webex availability in Microsoft Outlook for other users. If the option is grayed out in your Webex App client, follow the steps in this article.
ISSUE
In the Webex Application settings under the General tab, the option 'Show Webex availability in Outlook' is grayed out and cannot be selected. This applies to the Microsoft Windows operating system.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, you will need to register the spark-windows-office-integration DLL file. Follow the steps below:
- Close the Webex application.
- In the Windows search bar, type Command Prompt. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as Administrator.
- Enter the following command (replace username with your username) - regsvr32.exe “c:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Programs\Cisco Spark\dependencies\spark-windows-office-integration.dll".
- Click Enter to submit the command.
- Click OK on the dialog box that opens.
- Launch the Webex Application and verify that you can enable the option 'Show Webex availability in Outlook'.
