I get prompted to download SAML2AuthService while logging into SSO enabled Cisco Jabber.

Cisco Jabber prompts to download SAML2AuthService on a Single Sign-On (SSO) enabled domain.

Cause:
This issue may occur due to a registry key missing under the MIME directory.

Solution:

Get assistance from your company IT department to create the below registry key:
  1. Open Notepad.
  2. Copy / Paste the below code into the Notepad:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\text/xml]
    "
    CLSID"="{48123BC4-99D9-11D1-A6B3-00C04FD91555}"
    "Extension"=".
    xml"
    "Encoding"=hex:08,00,00,00

  3. Save the Notepad file with an .REG extension. As an example: mime.reg
  4. Double-click on the saved .REG file to load the key into the registry.
  5. Reboot the computer.

Try to log in to Jabber again.
