Showing your self-view video with the other thumbnail videos lets you see the same view of yourself that others see.

Change your self-view location during a meeting

Show your self-view video with the other participants or in a floating window that you can drag to another location or minimize, if it's taking up too much space on your screen. Hide your self-view if you prefer not to look at yourself, even if you like being on video.

1

During a meeting, webinar, or event, click Video options in your self view, and then click Self-view location.

You can also access Self-view location from Video options.
2

Under Self view, choose one of the following options:

  • To show your self view with the other participants, select Show with others.
  • To show your self view in a floating window that you can move to another location on your screen or minimize, select Show in floating window.
  • If you prefer to focus on the other participants instead of looking at yourself, select Hide.

Hiding your self-view removes the self-view window on your screen. The other participants in the meeting, webinar, or event still see you unless you turn off your video.
3

Check Show only when my video is on to show your self view only when you turn on your video. This saves screen space when you turn off your video.

If you don't check this option and you turn off your video, your self view shows your profile picture or your display name.

When you show your self-view video in a floating window, you can minimize the window to make more room on your screen. The other participants in the meeting, webinar, or event still see you unless you turn off your video.

During a meeting, webinar, or event, click Minimize my self-view videoMinimize in your self-view video.

Click Restore my self-view videoMaximize to restore your self view.

Choose to always show your self-view so that you don't have to turn your video on every time you join a meeting. Set your device's front or rear-facing camera as the default.

1

Tap Settings > Audio & video.

2

Toggle Self video on and then choose Front camera or Rear camera.

3

During a meeting, toggle Show self view only when my video is on on to show your self view only when you turn on your video.
