Error: 'Cisco Webex Add-On Required' message when I try to join from my Mac.

Solution:

When trying to join from a Mac, your browser may hang at the following prompt:

To fix the problem:

Update for Safari 11 and Mac OS 10.12 (settings have been moved):

  1. Go to Safari > Preferences > Websites.
  2. In the Plug-ins section on the left, select Webex64 General Plugin Container.
  3. For all Configured Websites listed on the right, select On.
  4. Set the When visiting other websites option to On:

Older Safari versions:
  1. Run the Cisco Webex Mac uninstaller
  2. Restart your Mac.
  3. Reinstall the Webex meeting software manually. For help, see:
  4. Try to join the meeting again.
     
If the browser still hangs on the prompt:
  1. Go to Safari > Preferences Advanced.
  2. Uncheck the Stop plug-ins to save the power box:

  2. Select a protocol to configure the screen, uncheck all the options, then click OK.
  3. Click Security, followed by Plug-in Settings...             
  4. In the left pane, click on Webex64 General Plugin Container.
  5. Click the drop-down next to the Webex Site URL and select Allow:
