Error: 'Setup was unsuccessful. Please try again. Error [103]'

I get an Error 103 when I try to join a meeting.



Cause:
This issue may occur if the Internet Explorer option 'Do not save encrypted pages to Disk' is checked. The 'Do not save encrypted pages to Disk' option must be disabled in order to download files or installation packages from Webex.

Solution:

To troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on the Tools icon, then select Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security section.
  5. Uncheck Do not save encrypted pages to Disk.
  6. Click Apply, then click OK.
  7. Close all browser windows.
  8. Re-open the browser and try to join again.

    If the issue persists, follow the additional steps below:
  9. Download and install the needed meeting software manually, see:
  10. After installation, exit all instances of your browser, open a new browser window, then join into the meeting again.

    If the issue still exists, follow the additional steps below:
  11. In Internet Explorer, go to the Tools icon, then select Internet options.
  12. Go to the Advanced tab.
  13. Scroll down to the Security section.
  14. Uncheck the Enable Enhanced Protected Mode* box, then click the OK button.
  15. Restart your computer, then try to join into the session again.
