    ISSUE
Users may encounter an error message stating, "Failed to get correct parameters while downloading the meeting component" when attempting to start or join a Webex meeting. This error prevents the meeting component from being downloaded and installed, which is necessary for it to function correctly.

    RESOLUTION
To fix this issue, enable TLS 1.2:

    1. Click inside the search box on the taskbar, then type and select Internet Options.
    2. Select the Advanced tab in Internet Properties, then check the Use TLS 1.2 box under Security.
    3. Click Apply and select OK.

If the issue persists, don't hesitate to contact technical support.

    CAUSE
This error typically occurs when Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 is disabled in the Internet Options of the user's web browser. TLS 1.2 is a security protocol that ensures secure communication over the internet. Webex and many other online services require TLS 1.2 to be enabled to maintain secure connections and protect data integrity.
