If you hear a phone call come into your coworker's desk phone, select Call Pickup in the footer of Webex App.

Choose one of the following options:

  • Pickup—select the call that's been ringing the longest.

  • Directed Pickup—enter the pickup extension number of your coworker and then press Enter.

Depending on your setup, you may or may not get incoming call notifications when a call comes into a pickup group you belong to.

Choose one of these options:

  • You hear a phone call come into a coworker's desk phone—click Call Pickup in the footer of your app. Then, select the Call Pickup to pick up a group call or Directed Pickup to pick up a call at a specific number. If you choose Directed Pickup, enter the pickup number and then press Enter.
  • You get a call notification in Webex App that a coworker has an incoming call—check the person's status on their profile picture. If they're busy or unavailable, click Pick up to answer their call.

  • You hear a phone call come into a coworker's desk phone but you don't get a notification in Webex App—go to and then select Call Pickup at the bottom of your Call History.

    Then, select the appropriate pickup group (Call Pickup, Other Call Pickup, or Directed Pickup). If you choose Directed Pickup, enter the pickup number and then press Enter. Click Pick up again.

  • You get a call notification in Webex App that a team member has an incoming call—check the person's status on their profile picture. If they're busy or unavailable, click Pick up to answer their call.

You can then decide whether you want to Answer or Decline the call. And if the caller is a Webex App user, you can even message them.

If someone else answers the call before you, you get a notification that there's no call to pick up.

Call pickup isn't supported on your mobile app yet.

Before you begin

You can turn off notifications by tapping your profile picture, selecting Calls, and then under Call Pickup, turn on Mute notifications.

Choose one of these options:

  • You hear a phone call come into a coworker's desk phone but you don't get a notification in Webex App—go to Calls and then select the Call Pickup tab at the top of your Call History.

    Then, select the appropriate pickup group (Pickup, Other Pickup, or Pick up a call at a specific extension). If you choose to pick up a call at a specific extension, enter the extension and then tap the green arrow.

  • You get a call notification in Webex App that a team member has an incoming call—check the person's status on their profile picture. If they're busy, click Pick up to answer their call.

    You can then decide whether you want to Answer or Decline the call. And if the caller is a Webex App user, you can even message them.

    If someone else answers the call before you, you get a notification that there's no call to pick up.
