Solution:

Fiddler is used to perform HTTPS captures for products such as Cisco Jabber, Webex Desktop App & other similar integrations. The data captured by Fiddler should be added to a web ticket or escalated to Webex tech support to expedite issue resolution.

To use Fiddler for capturing HTTPS traffic:

  1. Download and install Fiddler from https://www.telerik.com/download/fiddler.
  2. Click the Start button to open the Start menu.
  3. Select Fiddler 4 (or your current Fiddler version).

    The Fiddler application appears.
     
  4. Go to the Tools menu > Options...

    The 'Options' window appears.
     
  5. Go to the HTTPS tab.
  6. Check the Capture HTTPS CONNECTs and Decrypt HTTPS traffic boxes, then click the OK button.
  7. On the 'Trust the Fiddler Root certificate?' security prompt that appears, click the Yes button.
  8. On the 'Security Warning' dialog box, click the Yes button. Follow the prompts to add the certificate.
  1. Close and then restart the program for which you want to gather logs.
  2. Reproduce the problem so the error or reported issue occurs.
  3. Go back to the Fiddler window, then go to File > Save > All Sessions....

    Provide the Fiddler logs to the tech support agent along with a summary of the steps to replicate the problem.

To remove the Fiddler certificate:

  1. Go to your Start menu > All Programs > Fiddler 4 (or your current Fiddler version).
  2. Go to the Tools menu > Options....

    The 'Options' window appears.

     
  3. Go to the HTTPs tab.
  4. Click Actions, then select Remove Interception Certificates from the drop-down.
  5. On the dialog that appears, click the Yes button.
  6. Click the OK button.
