Administration via Partner Hub

The Partner Hub user interface includes options that let you manage many administration tasks manually via the Partner Hub interface. For example, you can do the folloiwng tasks:

  • Provision new customer organizations and users

  • Add or update users for existing organizations

  • Update existing settings

Add users manually

Use this procedure to add up to 25 users to an existing customer organization manually from Control Hub.

Sign in to Partner Hub.

Click Customers to view the list of existing customers.

Select a customer and click Launch Control Hub.

The customer view opens in the Control Hub.

Click Users.

Click Manage users.

Click Manually Add Users.

You also have additional options to add or modify users:

  • Add or modify users through a CSV file

  • Claim users

  • Directory Synchronization

Enter the Basic information for that user (for example, names, email addresses and package) and click Next.

Add additional users. You can add up to 25 users.

Click Next.

Click Close.

Add, modify, or delete users through CSV

Use this procedure to add, modify, or delete bulk Wholesale users to an existing customer organization through CSV from Control Hub.

Sign in to Partner Hub.

Click Customers to view the list of existing customers.

Select a customer and click Launch Control Hub.

The customer view opens in the Control Hub.

Click Users.

Click Manage users.

Click CSV add or edit.

Click choose a file and upload the CSV file with bulk users.

Set the Preferred Webex Site column for packages that support meetings. If you don't fill in the mandatory fields listed in the table, you get an error when trying to add or modify users. While not setting your Preferred Webex Site won't trigger an error message, it can cause problems with your meeting site later on.

Select Add and remove services under Select CSV import behaviour during the CSV import process. Otherwise, the system automatically assigns the default basic licenses—Messaging, Meeting, and Calling in addition to each user's designated Wholesale package.

The CSV file format uses the following column headings to refer to these basic licenses:

  • Basic Messaging
  • Basic Space Meetings
  • Call on Webex

To delete a user from the customer organization set all the Wholesale package columns to FALSE.

If you encounter these errors, unassign the user's package and then reassign it:

  1. Unable to update user attributes; no rollback the license change.
  2. Unable to update user license.

Change user package

Use this procedure in Control Hub to change the package for a user.

Sign in to Partner Hub.

Click Customers.

Launch the customer view for the current user's customer.

In Control Hub, click Users.

Select the user whose package you want to change.

In the Package section, click the arrow (>).

Choose the new package.

If you changed the package to Webex Calling or Webex Suite, update the calling number information.

Click Change.
