The following features apply to Unified CM, Webex Calling, and Calling hosted by a Service Provider

You've never looked better—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

When you share your video in a call, you can control your own video on your connected device from your app. You no longer have to reach or walk over to your device to turn your self-view on or off.

Know who's calling you—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

When someone in your organization's directory calls you, their name appears in the Caller ID, rather than just their phone number. This helps you decide whether you want to answer certain calls.

Focus on what matters—iPhone, iPad, and Android

If you're about to join a meeting or you just want to focus on the task at hand without distraction, silence your mobile ringer for incoming calls. You won't hear incoming calls come in but you still get a visual notification so that you can choose whether to answer the call or not.

Share an image or PDF file—iPhone, iPad, and Android

Instead of having to share your entire screen during a call, choose a specific photo or PDF file to share.

Share photo during a call

Share PDF during a call

Tap More options > Share content, and then choose the image or PDF file.

"Share computer audio” option is in a new location—Windows and Mac

When you’re sharing content that contains audio, the Share computer audio check box is now located directly to the right of the Automatically optimize option in the Share content dialog.

The following feature applies to Webex Calling and Calling hosted by a Service Provider

Extend calling capabilities to a third-party application—Windows and Mac

If you're using Contact Center, Receptionist thin client, or a third party app that doesn't have calling capabilities, use Webex App as your calling device. Make calls from your third-party app, answer calls from there, and put calls on hold, all while Webex App runs in the background. Just make sure that your administrator makes Webex App your primary device.

The following features apply to Unified CM

Forward thinking made easier—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

Now, when you set up call forwarding, your call notifications let you know who's calling instead of where the call is being forwarded from. This way, you know whether you want to answer the call or not

Bring work home with you—Windows and Mac

You can already make calls from an alternate device when connected to your work network. Now, that network connection is no longer required. Make a call from your desk phone, mobile phone, or home phone at home, when you're not connected to your work network. You can even take advantage of some calling features, such as transfer, hold and resume.

Meetings associated with a space—Windows, Mac, Linux, VDI, iPhone, iPad, and Android

In case you missed last month’s announcement, meetings associated with a space have been improved!

We’ve enriched your meetings experience in a space. Now, when you join or schedule a meeting in a space, you have access to all the features you’ve come to enjoy in Webex Meetings. You can leverage this new experience in every meeting you schedule or join from here on in.

You'll begin receiving this feature over the month of July.

See Webex App | Improved meetings associated with a space

Create inclusive and interactive meetings using Slido live polling and Q&A—Windows, Linux, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

Hosting an interactive meeting can be a challenge, but Slido can help. Get real-time feedback using word clouds, rating polls, and multiple-choice questions. Set up a live Q&A session, where participants can upvote the questions they want answered the most.

Hear the meeting in a language that you can understand—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, and VDI

If interpretation is available in a meeting that you join as an attendee, you can choose to hear the audio translated, simultaneously, in the language of your choice.

Tlumočení je k dispozici

The meeting host determines which languages are available in the meeting.

Můj jazyk tlumočení

Hosts and interpreters can only use simultaneous interpretation inWebex Meetings, not inAplikace Webexmeetings.

You've never looked better—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

When you share your video in a meeting, you can control your self-view video on your connected device from your app. You no longer have to reach or walk over to your device to turn your self-view video on or off.

Be front and center when you present—Windows and Mac

Create a more personal and engaging experience while you present. In the Share Content window, select Show me in front of presentation to immerse your video directly into the screen or application you're sharing.

Your video shows in the lower right corner, by default, but you can resize and position your video anywhere you want during your presentation.

All the world’s a stage—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

Customize your video layout when you’re in Stack or Side by side layout. Drag a video from the filmstrip on to the stage to get a closer look at a participant. Place an active speaker right next to the content that's being shared, or keep people who aren't actively speaking, such as a sign-language interpreter, in view.

Move to stage gives you the flexibility to resize your layout to focus on shared content or other participants.

Hosts can set a stage view for all meeting participants—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

If you join a full-featured meeting and the host syncs their stage with everyone, you and all of the other participants in the meeting see what the host wants you to focus on, such as the active speaker and any participants that the host has moved to the stage.

Share an image or PDF file—iPhone, iPad, and Android

Instead of having to share your entire screen during a meeting, choose a specific photo or PDF file to share.

Manage closed captions more efficiently with new keyboard shortcuts—Windows and Mac

We've added keyboard shortcuts to toggle on and off closed captions, move the closed captions box, and go to the More menu in the closed captions box.

Schedule a one-time Webex meeting with Hybrid Calendar—Windows and Mac

In your work calendar, add @webex:onetime as the location to schedule a one-time Webex meeting. Your administrator needs to set up your account with Hybrid Calendar. Administrators can change the default behavior for @webex to @webex:onetime for the organization.

"Share computer audio” option is in a new location—Windows and Mac

When you’re sharing content that contains audio, it’s now more convenient to select Share computer audio. The option now appears at the top of the Share content dialog.

Improved Participants list—Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android

Quickly find the person you’re looking for in the Participants list by expanding or collapsing the In the meeting and Not in the meeting sections.

You'll see the total number of participants listed at the top of the In the meeting and Not in the meeting sections, so you’ll know how many people have or haven't joined.

Choose where you want your call controls to appear—Windows and Mac

For all of your incoming calls, you can choose the setting that pushes your call control window to the front automatically so it's readily available. Alternatively, if you don't need access to any of those call controls, you can always keep that window hidden or just when a call is put on hold on a shared line.

See Webex App | Choose when your call window pops up.

The following feature applies to Unified CM:

Recover a deleted voice message—Windows and Mac

Accidentally delete a voice message? Now, when you delete a message, it automatically goes into a Trash folder where you still have access to it. Messages remain in your Trash folder unless you:

  • recover a message from your Trash. Then the message moves back to your Inbox.

  • empty your Trash.

  • you leave your messages in your Trash for a configured length of time and they're automatically removed. Your administrator determines how long messages can hang around.

Make sure to keep your Trash folder tidy though. Leaving clutter in your trash means you have less storage on your voicemail server and may prevent people from being able to leave you a message.

See Webex App | Clean up your voicemail trash and Webex App | Recover a deleted voice message.
